1. Casino

A brilliant movie that comes close to being one of the best gangster movies of all time. While I agree that Good Fellas is a far superior movie, Casino is a very good substitute. This is the reason why it gets number 1 on our top 10 gambling movies.

 

2. The Sting

A classic but a goodie! This movie has the most elaborate and best hustle in movie history. Go watch it…. beats the sh^t out of the Oceans Eleven series.

 

3. Rain Man

Great movie, great acting, great soundtrack. I love 80’s movies, so this was always going to rank highly on my top 10 gambling movies list. If you’ve not seen it, you’re probably born in the 90’s and watch sh!tty Jason Statham movies instead.

 

4. Back to the Future 2

I know what you’re going to say…. “That’s bullsh&t! Back to the Future 2 is not a gambling movie!”

However, think about it! The whole films storyline exists due to the fact that Marty brings a sports almanac back with him from the future.

Anyway most gambling movies are sh^t and I love Back to the Future 2, so it’s stays on the list.

 

5. Casino Royal

So while I’m not a big fan of the overrated Bond movie, as a gambling movie, it’s pretty good. The fact that the whole movie revolves around Texas Hold’em makes for boring viewing, but perfect for our list.

 

6. Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels

This movie has grown on me massively over the years. I hate that people kept quoting it at the time of it’s release… so that put me off. The movie is very stylised and the dialogue is extremely sharp.

 

7. The Huslter

Paul Newman….. what a guy! The fact that George C. Scott is in it too is amazing. Great start and ending, watch it!

 

8. Oceans Eleven

Impressive cast and a good-ish storyline. I would have put the original on here but I think the Rat Pack are bad actors to be honest. I prefer the ending in the original Ocean Eleven….. much better.

 

9. Maverick

I like Maverick! I know no one will ever say “hey dude, want to watch Maverick?”  If not, the other option is to play yourself and feel like a movie star playing poker online.

It’s that movie that every decade you see on a Sunday at 1pm but I like it.

10. Vagas Vacation

I thought having a comedy on the list might be a good idea. It was either Vagas Vacation or put Rounders on the list. So Vagas Vacation is the worst of the series but it does have the great scene when they visit cousin Eddie out in the dessert.
